The day of rest
Todays will be a short post.
I had my two Sifnos friends here at the house yesterday and we listened to podcasts and chatted away. We got onto typos and he showed me the so called slide to type system which might help me on mobile devices. It’s easy to use and on the phone, it is better as my fingers are fat and I often make mistakes on things like WhatsApp where I am not as careful as I am here.
There are some visitors coming to see us, today. First a friend from Serifos, who is visiting the island anyway, will pop in for a quick visit, and then a separate group later on. These people are from Sifnos and are bringing dinner I believe. Then on Friday a different friend from Serifos, the Dog Palace owner wants to see me too, maybe after my Syros trip.
I also had a chat with my ex work colleague from America, who himself has recently recovered from a much more serious medical emergency. He is back to his fit self now thankfully. It’s always good to hear from him, he often visits Europe for his holidays, he recently was in the UK where he got an impromptu tour of the Wimbledon Tennis Club Museum and the grounds, including Centre Court itself!
Meanwhile back to the leg, one of my Sifnos friends showed me this photo they had been sent, where someone persuaded the medical team removing their cage to let them keep it, and they have turned into into…
For dinner last night it a was a Cameron and their spicy rice with chicken which was divine. While we ate it the oil supply ship Echo 2 came in, that also visits Serifos. The wind picked up and as the sun set one my friend popped down for an ice cream for us both. Ronnie licked both cups out afterwards, he also had some chicken from the rice. The Superjet came in heading back to Pireaus where it will stay until it heads back this way arriving at ten in the morning.
These chocolate were given to us by the guy next door, it was his birth day yesterday, they were crunchy on the outside, full of chocolate on this inside. I have found another seam of things on BBC Sounds, the Bill Gates one was very good. My friend on Serifos, has given me a good Wordle seed word, Adieu.
