A sad evening

I resolved to try a different place to eat tonight and I ended up going to a traditional Greek Taverna. But on the way I went past this sweet shop with something on sale that I had no idea what it was.

It’s called Halva and although it looks like Nougat, it’s softer. I might buy some and try it. I bet it’s very sweet.

So I sat outside again and luckily no rain today. I ordered a Greek salad and a omelette special. The salad was fantastic and the bread was lovely, covered in sesame seeds. The omelette was nice too, it had bits of ham and chips in it. Ham eggs and chips in one dish.

While I was having the meal, I thought I would  ask one of my dog customers how their dog was. He hastn’t been well and it looks like he might have cancer. We won’t know for a couple of days, but it’s so sad. He has been a big part of my dog walking life and I love him so much. His owners are lovely people and won’t let him suffer. Dogs are lucky usually and unlike us, they can leave this world, without the complications humans afford themselves in these situations.

So while I was sad, drinking my wine, a Blue Star ferry turned up and did a very impressive three point turn and berthed itself beautifully. A sad ending, but a good life spent well N.
